This publication, which will be a precious tool for Egyptologists, is presented as a theme catalogue. It is fully illustrated in color with photographs made by Michel Lechien, showing the beauty of the objects and the vivid materials of their constitution. The history of the formation of the Raoul Warocqué collection and its development, as well as his relations with Jean Capart, the best known Belgian Egyptologist, are described by Claire Derriks and Jean-Michel Bruffaerts. The collection, which comprises more than 250 pieces, has following themes: sculpture, cult, amulets, daily life, recipients, funeral world, Coptic and Islamic world, egyptomania and copies. Some of the authors of the texts preceding the description of the artifacts are: Marsha Hill, Claire Derriks, Anne Lebrun-Nélis, Luc Delvaux, Stan Hendrickx and Merel Eyckerman. Results of the analysis of the bronzes, made by G. Weber and L. Martinot, are also given in the book. As usual, annexes deal with cartography, chronology, recipients drawing, bibliography and index.
